Please note: The above rates are for 1-2 pets. Rates for 3 or more pets are slightly higher, usually by a $1 or $2 per pet, depending on how many additional pets. Please call for a quote. $2 medication surcharge applies per visit when medication is administered. There is a $16 cancellation fee for less than 24-hr cancellations. We charge this nominal fee to compensate the sitter for the time that she/he already allotted to your pets. We are sure you understand that we do it out of the respect to the sitters' time since they often forgo other pet sits to accommodate yours, and if you cancel they are left with nothing. A short notice surcharge will apply to all visits scheduled within 24 hrs. It takes more effort to accommodate short notices, and we motivate our employees to be flexible by adding that surcharge to their fee. The company doesn't make any money on these surcharges - again, this is us showing respect to our sitters' time and is a benefit to our customers. Usually, everyone is happy at the end - client's emergency trip is taken care of, and the sitter drops everything she/he has been doing because they are highly motivated to change their schedule around this emergency pet sit. New client meetings are free of charge, but if this is an emergency and you require a pet sitter to come out within a few hours (during the same day of your call), there is going to be a $16 fee for that meeting. We recommend planning meeting your sitter
in advance before your trip, so that you don't have to pay for this meeting on
a short notice, but we understand that unpredictable things happen and
accommodating those emergencies have become our strength and specialty. Keys: Most of our clients prefer us to keep their key on file, so we can accommodate their future service reservations instantly. However, if you prefer to provide us with a lockbox (at your expense), or would like us to pick up and drop off your key each time you travel (at the rate of $10 per trip to compensate for gas and travel time), we'll be happy to do whatever it takes to accommodate your personal preference. The initial key pick up usually takes place during the client meeting and there is no fee for it.
